From West Vancouver a scenic 45 minute ferry ride takes you from Horseshoe Bay to Langdale to the Lower Sunshine Coast. The 90km direct drive along Hwy.101 trough Gibsons and Sechelt, passing Madeira Park, Ruby Lake and Egmont turn-off to Earls Cove takes about 1.5 hrs.
As a rule you have enough driving time after leaving the ferry at Langdale to board the second ferry at Earls Cove.
The Sechelt Peninsula is worth exploring also check out the famous Skookumchuck Narrows at Egmont.

Then take the FREE and breathtaking ferry ride from Earls Cove to Saltery Bay.
The ferry trip across Jervis Inlet is a scenic 50 minute ride up Agamemnon Channel, around the northeast tip of sparsely populated Nelson Island into Jervis Inlet the entrance to famous Princess Louisa Inlet.

After you leave the Saltery Bay Ferry you are now on the Upper Sunshine Coast. Follow scenic Hwy 101 all the way into Powell River/Westview - 28km - along Marine Avenue with its quaint little shops, restaurants and art galleries until you get to Alberni St. (close to Willingdon Beach)- turn right, follow Alberni St. up to Michigan Ave and turn right again. From Comox on Vancouver Island catch the ferry at Little River and cross the Strait of Georgia in 75 minutes with Texada Island on your right and Harwood Island on your left.
After you leave the Comox Ferry in Powell River with it's beautiful Marina, drive up the road to the first set of lights, turn left and follow Marine Avenue with its quaint little stores, restaurants and art galleries until you see Alberni St. turn right, follow Alberni St. up to Michigan Ave and turn right again.
